Also, now knowing that Peter and Claire are dating in real life, I can't watch any scene with the two of them without feeling kinda uncomfortable.  Yes I am that shallow.

BBC America is going to have a "Spaced" marathon this coming Sunday!!!!!!! Yay!

On a similar note I heard the pilot for the American version didn't get picked up!

I recently stumbled upon the Band of Brothers fandom.  You know, I should probably rephrase that.  I recently stumbled upon my new obsession, which happens to be the Band of Brothers fandom.  As soon as I get Photoshop reinstalled, I think I'll be hard at work making icons while waiting on responses to those resumes I sent out. ,

Grr...I'm almost there.  I'm one term paper from graduation.  Of course it's the one paper that I really, really don't wanna do.  Fuck me.

So I'm sitting in Menswear Marketing yesterday and my prof. starts going over the various men's suit cuts (European Slim, American, etc.) and no matter what particular cut she was talking about, all I could think about was David Tennant's delectable bum in that fantastic blue suit.  Damn you Tennant for distracting me!!!

Wow.  It's been a while, hasn't it.  I've just been so busy with school and working extra hours, I haven't even thought about lj.   

Supposedly the Fox Network has gotten the rights to make an American version of "Spaced".  Unless this a "The Office" type situation, where the original creators are somehow involved with the development of the new version, I really see this as becoming a big pile 'o shit.  I'm just going to pray to the comedy gods that the latter will not be the case.

You know what absolutely sucks?  Throwing your neck out one morning and having to work until 11:30 that night on a One Day Sale with only  *2* other people.  On a Saturday, no less.  The physical pain and frustration actually got so bad at one point that I started crying over it.  I never cry.  Especially not in a public place if I can help it.  But as painful as my neck got, some Apercreme and sleeping w/o a pillow seemed to do the job.   


And now to my Advertising hw.  Does anyone wanna write a paper for me on the gender bias that women used to face in the advertising field?  Didn't think so. 
  

So I'm an idiot.  Today is the first official day of the fall quarter at school, though there's no class.  And I thought I try to get here today and buy my books (the ones that I couldn't find on cheapbooks.com or amazon) so I could get first dibs on the used ones, but I forgot that today is orientation for new students.  New students that are currently making the tiny, itty, bitty book store SUPER busy.  So now I'm just killng time until they clear out.  Thankfully, new students probably won't be buying the same books as me.  


On a brighter note: HEROES TONIGHT!!!  Yay!

30 Rock actually won!  Yay!  

Suck on that Ugly Betty.  I'm still bitter that they stole the Golden Globe from The Office.

Yay!  I got a paid account!  Maybe this will encourage me to update this thing more often.


I mainly got it so I could get rid of those obnoxious ads.  Also to get a nicer layout, but I've actually grown attached to brightly colored fabric thing that I have now (although the formating for the text just smooches everything together).  Oh well, I'll change it some other time.  At least I have more options now.

Okay.  It's official.  "The Venture Bros." is my new favorite show.  I mean any show that makes a reference to "Clarissa Explains It All" wins my heart.

Me as a Simpsons character.  Why am I hotter as a Simpsons character?

This past week has been kind of crazy. My mother and I have been trying to tidy up our house for guests they we are entertaining this weekend. Usually cleaning the house a little isn’t such a problem, but unfortunately, there wasn’t only “a little” to clean up. We are in the middle of having our house remodeled, so everything isn’t where it should be. All of the dining room and living room furniture are in the basement so we can replace the floor in the adjoining rooms. The only things in either room are part of the couch (it is made up of separate pieces) and the coffee table in the living room.

So I'm taking "Arts in Contemporary Society" this quarter, and my professor is a cutie.  Although, slightly boring.  He's really young (like, probably only a couple of years older than me young), so he has this shiny, happy, "isn't everything I'm saying incredibly thought-provoking and interesting" way of lecturing.  And to be honest I really am interested in art history and contemporary art (otherwise, I wouldn't have taken the course), but all the "um's" and "anyway's" are as distracting as his habit to go off on random tangents.  But, hey, it's only the first week (two, two hour long classes), so maybe he'll get better.  Especially when it comes to the class discussions he keeps mentioning.

In other news that I don't think anybody but me reads, we're going to have out-of-towners staying with us next week!  Which means that they'll be staying in my bedroom!  Which means I'll actually have to clean my bedroom!  Which is something that I planned to do today, due to the fact that I will be working all weekend!  Which is something that I am in fact not doing!  Oh, silly me and my procrastination.  When will I ever learn.
